I designed this entire piece, from the initial idea, and drew and modelled the piece.
They were said to the the largest pieces of enamelling in the 20th Century.
Each Peacock has 55 separate tail feathers made from pure gold filigree with an enamelled "eye".

117 Olympic Gold Medallist "Halla"

This is a portrait of "Halla" the Olympic Gold medallist for Germany at the Helsinki Games.
Herr Hans Winkler, her rider told me she was a trotting horse by breeding. At the finals, he had a very bad groin injury, and Halla was usually a very difficult horse. Herr Winkler said she seemed to know he was hurt, and gave him a perfect ride with a perfect clear round to win the Gold Medal.
He also said she would regularly jump very large fences out of her paddock at home onto and out of a railway line, causing him great anxiety.
